| testimonial | |||
|
A success story
or positive review of a product or service. Many websites display
testimonials of satisfied clients, patients or consumers.
Testimonials are a way of establishing credibility through a form of
'word of mouth'. It's important when putting testimonials on your
website or any other form of promotion that the success or positive
experience is actually real. People reading testimonials will
ultimately be able to tell if you are lying. |

| testing | |||
|
A phase
of any production or process where it is tried out to ensure it
works without fail. Many programs are beta-tested my hundreds or
more people before being placed in the hands of the general
public. A Beta-Test is the final phase of testing before general
or commercial release. Advertisements, pay per click campaigns
and landing pages are a;; parts of Internet advertising and
marketing that should involve testing. |

| text link | |||
|
A
hyperlink on a website that is written in text. The text which is
linked or sometimes the text near the actual hyperlink is called a
text link. The words or text of this link is also called anchor
text. The text in the link should tell the user a little (very
little) about the document they will be viewing if they click on the
link. Search Engines use the text link to tell them something about
the document to which it is linked. In terms of relevance and
ranking it's important the the text link and the referred document
share a common theme. |
