| Facebook is a social networking website originally designed for college students. It is now open to anyone who says they are 13 years old or older. On Facebook you can create a profile including picture and personal interests. Friends can post messages on each other's Facebook pages in either a publicly viewable area or privately email box. Facebook provides an easy way for friends to keep in touch with each other and for them to have a presence on the Web without needing to build a website. | |||

| Flash | |||
| Flash is a method for adding interactivity and animation to web pages. Its use should be limited to these functions since websites designed entirely in Flash cannot be read and analyzed by search engines and are therefore limited with regard to search engine rankings. | |||

| Flash Website | |||
|
A website designed entirely using the Adobe Flash animation program. These sites can be very attractive and incorporate some great interactivity. However, from a search engine optimization and ranking point of view a Flash website is almost useless since search engine spiders cannot read and rank them. |

| form | |||
| The regular English word "form" has many definitions which can be found in other dictionaries. I reference to the Internet and Internet advertising a form is a web page or part of a web page containing blanks for the insertion of details or information. Forms are used to collect data in a shopping cart, support request, contact form or others. I use of forms in Internet marketing is in the collecting of names and email addresses for future contact with newsletters or special offers. | |||

| forum | |||
| Back in the the days of Rome people would gather in a public place to discuss topics of interest and current events. In more modern times neighbors talk over back fences, chat in coffee shops and have discussions with friends in person or over the phone. With the advent of the Internet the concept of forum grew to where one can "gather" with people of similar interests. Online forums have grown to include sophisticated social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter. Forums, blogs and social networking sites are a great website promotion medium. By contributing worthwhile information to these forums you can quickly become an 'authority' in your area. | |||
