| embedded link | |||
|
When a word within the text of a website is hyperlinked to take the viewer to a different page of the site or a different web site that is called an embedded link. For example the work "hyperlinked" in the above definition is an embedded link. It is thought that embedded links surrounded by relevant text have more optimization value than than separate listed links. Embedded links can be of value to your visitor when the link is used to enhance the visitor experience as in showing an image or giving further information about a subject or product. Giving the user the facility to hop from one place on a website or on the Internet to another is what the web and html are all about. |

When setting up
Google Adwords you are given a choice of four keyword matching
options. By selecting one of these options you have more
control over when your advertisement is triggered to appear.
Exact match is one of these options. This is best explained by
going over the four keyword match types.
Broad Match: Allows your ad to show on similar phrases and relevant variations Phrase Match: Allows your ad to show for searches that match the exact phrase Exact Match: Allows your ad to show for searches that match the exact phrase exclusively. Negative
Match: Ensures your ad doesn't show for any search that
includes that term |

| exit page | |||
|
In web analytics the definition of exit page is that page from which the visitor leaves your website. A visitor must leave any site eventually and some exit pages on a website do not betoken a problem with the site or the page. An example of an exit page that makes sense would, of course, be the confirmation page after a sale. The person has purchased a product and is now ready to go elsewhere on the Internet. Makes sense. However if you find that the visitor leaves your site on one specific page or even the home page without doing anything, purchasing or signing up this is probably an indication of a problem with the page. In this case the exit page needs to be changed to better fulfill the needs and interests of the the visitors. |

| exit pop-up | |||
| This is the term for a window that pops up when you try to leave a site. Usually the window displays some sort of special offer, sign up form, or request for you not to leave the site. Not a great marketing device unless used in an exceptionally unique and clever fashion that will not simply irritate the visitor. | |||

| Explorer | |||
| Also Internet Explorer. This is Microsoft's free World Wide Web Browser for Windows. It is one of the two most popular web browsers. The other one is Firefox. A browser is defined as a piece of software used to access information on the World Wide Web. A web browser is so much a natural part of our computer set up that we sometimes forget that without a web browser such as Internet Explorer we would not be able to access websites, jump around the Internet with links, view images, use online shopping carts or watch YouTube videos. In short, our entire online experience would be limited to a huge degree without software such as Internet Explorer. | |||
