|
In the world of
Internet marketing the term earnings per click (EPR) is a
measurement of the effectiveness of a marketing program based on
earnings relative to the expenses generated to get a visitor to
click through to the website. Many factors need to be
evaluated in this analysis including cost per click, ad copy,
placement of advertisement, landing page, and of course the quality,
value, pricing and consumer need of the product or service. Often used in Affiliate marketing. |

email marketing |
|||
|
The use of email to
market a website. This can be done "ethically" or
"unethically" which means more or less annoyingly. the use of
spam emails has long been considered unethical and when using email
to market a site it is important to conform to the CAN-Spam act
which you can read more about on the Federal Trade Commission site
here:
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/business/ecommerce/bus61.shtm If you keep within the legal limits and respect the time and interests of your public email marketing is a powerful way to let the correct public know about your website and offer them valuable information. Collecting the email addresses of visitors and customers with the agreement that you will be sending them such things as discount offers, new product information or updated research information is a great way to stay in touch with your visitor, client or customer base. |
